Mass Gatherings

As part of a large precinct’s compliance with the Australian Crowded Public Places Strategy, the ERMS group were tasked to assist in the conduct a comprehensive precinct-wide Vulnerability and Threat Assessment (VTA) for the client to identify potential vulnerabilities, threats and weaknesses; provide guidance for improving their security resilience in accordance with National Security Guidelines and provide a risk-based decision support tool to assist in planning to address these vulnerabilities.

Key outcomes of this project were:

• Conduct an ANZCTC Crowded Places Security Audit;

• Conduct a VTA of the precinct including the Public Car Park;

• Engage with precinct partners and other stakeholders;

• Develop a detailed report on the VTA findings;

• Conduct a peer review of our Crisis Communications Plan;

• Conduct a peer review of our Emergency Response Plan; and

• Develop a Crisis Management Plan and implementation plan
