Australia is a country that experience natural disasters, and enabling a community to effectively respond and recover is an integral part of ensuring their resilience. The ERMS group was engaged by a local council in regional Australia that is approximately 3.5 times of Tasmania.

Our team spent time embedded in the local community to gain a better understanding of what the needs of the residents and businesses were when a disaster affected them.

The ERMS group drafted, developed and implemented a suite of plans, policies and guidance material that aided the local council in the organisation and management of resources and responsibilities for dealing with all humanitarian aspects of emergencies, in particular preparedness, response and recovery in order to lessen the impact of disasters
